Congratulations to FCpl J. Tan for winning the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta’s Spirit of Victory contest cadet division!
This contest required writing and delivering an original speech of three to five minutes, exploring what victory in Europe meant for Albertans of the era and/or for people today. This speech was then judged by a panel to determine a winner. As part of his first place prize, FCpl Tan was awarded with $1000 and a book about Sam Steele.
