918 Griffon Squadron will be holding an open house night on Jan 15 for any families or youth who are interested in joining us for this training year. The event will run through the evening, and guests are invited to stay afterwards for our closing parade to be able to witness one of the major parts of a regular training night. Afterwards, all guests are invited to stay to watch our closing parade. Exact details will be posted closer to the day of the event.
We ask that people who are interested in participating in the open house fill out this form so that we may accurately gauge numbers and adequately prepare.
We would like to remind prospective guests that the open house is running along side a regular training night, so while we encourage you to look and ask questions, please be respectful of the various classes taking place.
If you are unsure about whether or not you would like to join, you are still invited to come out and join us for this event. There is time dedicated to answering any specific questions you may have, as well as a chance to speak with some of the senior cadets who have been with the program for a few years.
This is the last open house we will be holding for the 2019-2020 training year. If you would like to join, but know you can’t make this date, please send and email to 918griffonrcacs@gmail.com. If your child will not be at least 12 years old by January 15, 2020, you are still invited to join us for the open house, but will need to return next training year to enroll.
If you already know that you plan on joining with us this year, or want to get ahead of the paper work, please see our joining FAQ here. There are two pieces of paper work that must be filled out before you or your child can begin parading with us (located in step 3 in the FAQ).
If you are already a cadet (Air, Army, or Sea) and wish to transfer to us, please also refer to this page.
The weekend immediately afterwards we will be hosting a new recruit training day. This day will serve to help bring any new cadets up to speed with vital knowledge about how to be a cadet. This event is not mandatory for new cadets, but is highly recommended. More details about it will be posted soon.
If you have any questions, or if you know you would like to join but are unable to attend this event, please email us: 918griffonrcacs@gmail.com
