On February 9th 2020, 918 Griffon will be holding a bottle drive in order to help raise funds in order to support future events and initiatives. In order to prepare for this day, there will also be a canvassing day on February 2nd 2020. While this is an optional activity, we encourage all cadets who are able to participate to do so, as running strong fundraising events directly impacts our ability to operate other extra curricular training activities. The OP Order will be posted shortly.
The canvasing event will run from 1300-1700, and will be entirely outdoors. During this time, cadets will be distributing handouts, speaking with local residents, and doing lots of walking. Cadets must dress for the weather, especially bringing layers that can be taken off or put on as weather changes. Dress for this day is civilian professional (no tie required).
The bottle drive itself is split into two shifts. Cadets are asked to mark which shifts they are free for, but will only be placed into one. Similar to the canvassing day, cadets must come prepared for the weather, and wear shoes that are comfortable for long periods of walking. Lunch is not provided for either shift, but cadets are encouraged to bring their own snacks to enjoy during the day. Dress for the day is civilian professional (no tie required).
If you are a parent looking to sign up for either day, here is the parent sign-up form.
