918 Griffon Squadron has been investigating different measures and activities to help promote and maintain our sense of community and connectedness. In support of this, the senior cadets have created a squadron Discord server, a place where cadets can interact and stay connected, without having to see each other face to face every week. Additionally, we are looking into the possibility of hosting some supplementary online lessons through the platform. While there are staff members monitoring the server to ensure that standards of the Air Cadet Program are upheld, this is an entirely cadet lead endeavor. As such, in order to gain joining instructions for the server, or have any questions, you should reach out to your flight staff or Sgt Nottebrock at connornottebrock@gmail.com.
On Wed 1 Apr, 918 Sqn will hold a live event on our Discord server. Originally intended for a CO’s Parade, this optional event will help bring our squadron family together (virtually) as well as test function our Discord server for potential future training use. There will be an opportunity to engage with your fellow squadron members, ask the officers some questions, and celebrate some new senior leadership appointments. There may even be promotions.
