918 Griffon Squadron will conduct a bottle drive to support our SSC in an effort to increase the financial support required for various optional training and activities. This is also a good chance for parents to meet with other cadet parents, and cadets to contribute back to the Squadron, while engaging in some low-impact outdoor activity.
While DND covers many of the core mandatory needs, the Squadron participates in a wide variety of training and activities that are not financially supported by DND. Additional funds are needed to ensure our Squadron is able to continue engaging in a wide variety of fun and exciting training opportunities. What are just some of the things funds are allocated to? Transportation to events, entry fees for field trips and site visits, flying opportunities, additional professional development training for cadets, attending practices and competitions, and even rent and supporting infrastructure like power, heat, and internet in our LHQ.
